While the world worried that computers would crash at midnight, Iain Emerson came home to Durban and started NETCONFIG. Our first "office" was a rented house, clients sat on boxes, and the helpdesk was an exercise book in the garden. Humble? Very. Effective? Also very.
Erica Floweday joined as Operations Director, swapped the boxes for proper chairs and brought proper business systems with her.
We moved from "call us when it breaks" to managed IT support: proactive care for a predictable monthly fee.
We settled in at 28 Essex Terrace, Westville, which is still our head office today.
